Dr. Toan Chung, DDS
Dr. Toan Chung grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas and is the 10th of 11 children. He earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry after graduating from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Linguistics and a minor in Biology. He practiced family dentistry in Texas, then moved to Colorado Springs to enjoy all the excellent qualities it has to offer.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chung has many hobbies and interests. He has a strong passion for music and plays the guitar, bass, drums, piano, and cello. He also enjoys building guitars, refinishing furniture, and modifying cars. Dr. Chung participates in Team World Vision as both a runner and a sponsor to support global humanitarian efforts. Dr. Chung and his wife enjoy spending time with their two children.
Dr. Chung serves as President of the Colorado Springs Dental Society and is an active member of the American Dental Association and Colorado Dental Association. He has been voted a Colorado Springs Top Dentist every year since 2018.
Dr. Isaac Chung, DMD
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Isaac Chung grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and is the youngest of eleven children. He obtained his B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University in sunny Palo Alto, California. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania as a Dean’s Scholar, where he received his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry with multiple honors. He continued his training at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a rigorous orthodontics residency. This specialized training provided Dr. Isaac with the knowledge and clinical skills needed to provide his patients with beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.
Dr. Isaac is proud to call Colorado his home, where he continues to enjoy the beautiful mountains, some of the greatest snowboarding conditions in the world, and most importantly, proximity to his family. Dr. Isaac enjoys staying active playing basketball, snowboarding, rock climbing, and running marathons. He is also an avid Stanford football fan. Dr. Isaac and his wife have two daughters and an energetic dog. They enjoy cooking, baking, and going on outdoor adventures as a family.
Dr. Isaac serves on the Dental Advisory Board for Project Worthmore, a Colorado-based non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide empowering programs and services to foster community, self-sufficiency, and increase the quality of life among Denver-area refugees. Dr. Isaac is also an active member of the Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Metro Denver Dental Society. He has been voted a 5280 Top Dentist since 2020.
Dr. Harvey Zhang, DMD
Dr. Harvey Zhang grew up in China and in New York. He obtained his B.S. in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University. He then obtained his DMD from Boston University Dental School. He completed his residency program at Ohio State University, where he gained extensive experience in dental surgery. He has run a private practice in upstate NY, delivering care based on the latest techniques and best practices in all aspects of dentistry. He is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care that meets the unique needs of each individual.
Dr. Harvey enjoys spending time outdoors, and particularly enjoys playing basketball. He also loves to travel and explore new places. His goldendoodle, Yoshi, keeps him active and entertained.
Dr. Harvey is an active member of the American Dental Association.
Sharona – Dental Hygienist
Sharona is originally from Guam. She served in the Air Force as an optometric technician before becoming a Dental Hygienist. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children visiting new places, exploring new restaurants, and trying new recipes. Sharona loves helping patients achieve a healthy smile that they are proud of. She makes sure each patient experiences the compassionate care that we provide here at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics!
Abby – Dental Hygienist
Abby is from California’s San Joaquin Valley. She earned a B.A. in Consumer Sciences and later completed her dental hygiene degree. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children exploring outside, having family game nights, and trying new recipes. She is a strong advocate of whole body health and applies that knowledge to provide the best care to all patients here at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics!
Faith – Dental Hygienist
Faith is originally from Austin, TX and has also lived in Washington state. She completed her degree in dental hygiene from Colorado Northwestern Community, where she was awarded the HuFriedy Golden Scaler Award for her outstanding performance. She enjoys video games, hiking, skiing, and reading fiction. Her friendly smile puts everyone at ease. She always delivers gentle and comprehensive care to every patient here at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics!
Delaney – Patient Coordinator
Delaney is a proud Colorado native. She completed her dental assisting certificate, then found her passion helping patients as a patient coordinator. She enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies, traveling and discovering new adventures. Her goal is to provide the best experience possible here at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics!
Sork – Patient Coordinator
Sork and her family moved to Colorado Springs from Kurdistan due to war. She graduated from UCCS with a degree in biology with an emphasis in biomedical sciences. She loves volunteering, traveling around the world, and seeing her favorite band, BTS, in concert. She is passionate about dentistry and is studying to become a dentist. She is always ready to help every patient have the best experience here at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics!
Mathew – Patient Coordinator
Mathew grew up with a parent in the army, and has lived in 8 places including Germany. His favorite places that he has visited are Italy and Spain. He is studying Psychology and Criminal Justice at UCCS, and plans to pursue further graduate studies. He enjoys travel, music, astrology, and spending time with friends. He always greets every patient with a bright smile here at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics!
Alyssa – Dental Assistant
Alyssa is from Yuma, Arizona. She moved to beautiful Colorado because her husband serves in the military. Her interest in everything related to teeth led her to become a dental assistant. She, her husband, and their two children like hiking and traveling to new places together. Alyssa enjoys helping all patients at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics.
Alexis – Dental Assistant
Alexis is from Missouri. She and her husband moved to Colorado Springs where her husband serves in the military. They enjoy cooking and taking their two rambunctious huskies to the dog park. Alexis loves getting to know each patient and providing them with an excellent experience.
Tiffany – Dental Assistant
Tiffany is from Utah, where she was a dental assistant for over 15 years. She earned her EDDA certification in Colorado, graduating with honors. She enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband, hiking with their two children, reading and sushi. She has traveled with a volunteer organization to provide dental care to remote villages in Haiti. She brings her passion for dentistry to the care that she provides to all patients at Apple Grove Dental.
Katlynn – Dental Assistant
Katlynn is originally from northeast Oklahama and has also lived in Fayetteville, NC. She enjoys spending time with her son and their dog. She also enjoys running, hiking, and spending time in the great outdoors. She especially enjoys pediatric dentistry and plans to further her dental education. She enjoys giving everyone an excellent experience at Apple Grove Dental.
Bobbie – Office Manager
Bobbie is a southern gal at heart, coming to Colorado from South Carolina. She enjoys spending time with her four-legged friends and spending time motorcycle riding and hiking with her fiancé. Bobbie completed her training through PIMA and enjoys helping all patients at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics.
Connie – Operations Director
Connie grew up in New Jersey. She earned her B.S.F.S in Science, Technology and International Affairs at Georgetown University then completed her Ph.D. in Public Health Informatics at Columbia University. Connie has implemented city-wide efforts to promote preventative care and to improve patient outcomes. She brings this experience to promote excellent oral health at Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics.

About our Community Support Efforts
At Apple Grove Dental and Orthodontics, we consider it a privilege to serve our wonderful Colorado Springs community. We support local programs including school initiatives and food banks as well as international efforts to provide clean water, necessities, and medical supplies to underserved areas.
We support World Vision, the world’s largest Christian humanitarian organization that serves poverty-stricken and oppressed children, families, and communities in over 100 countries. Each year, we also participate and run in Team World Vision to provide clean water across Africa.
Drs. Toan and Isaac Chung have experienced first hand the impact of World Vision’s life-changing efforts. Their family was rescued by World Vision from the South China Sea when they fled Vietnam as boat people.
